Three major airlines introduce ARJ21-700 aircraft

Air China Limited, China Eastern Airlines Corporation Limited and China Southern Airlines Company Limited respectively signed an aircraft purchase contract with Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) on August 30th, 2019. The three airlines plan to introduce 35 ARJ21-700 aircraft each, and the total number of contracted orders is 105. At this point, COMAC has received 596 orders of ARJ21-700 aircraft from 22 customers.

So far, COMAC has delivered 14 ARJ21-700 aircraft to Chengdu Airlines and Genghis Khan Airlines, and the aircraft have successively flown 28 routes in 31 cities and carried more than 470,000 passengers. Since ARJ21-700 aircraft was put into operation, COMAC has adhered to the principles of customer-centred and market-oriented, continuously carried out aircraft design optimization and continuously improved the operation support system to ensure the stable and smooth route operation of the aircraft.

Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines are the three largest airlines in China with the largest fleet, the most extensive network coverage and the most abundant operating experience. This signing is a key milestone in the market development of ARJ21-700 aircraft and will lay a good foundation for subsequent large-scale operations.
