On the occasion of the first Party Congress of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, Ltd. (COMAC) and the second anniversary of route operation of ARJ21 aircraft, ARJ21 aircraft operated by Chengdu Airlines ushered in the 100,000th passenger on June 28th, 2018, indicating that ARJ21 aircraft has basically achieved the goal of safe and smooth operation, and the route operation has achieved periodic results.
The ARJ21 aircraft operating flight EU6665 with a full passenger load took off from Chengdu Shuangliu Airport and flew to Shanghai Hongqiao Airport with a stopover at Changsha. As the aircraft enters level flight, the purser made an announcement that the 100,000th passenger of ARJ21 aircraft was on this flight, and an enthusiastic applause broke out in the cabin.
Since ARJ21 aircraft was put into commercial operation on June 28th, 2016, Chengdu Airlines has undertaken the mission of the world’s first customer of ARJ21 aircraft, received 5 aircraft, and opened eight routes including Chengdu-Changsha-Hongqiao, Chengdu-Hefei-Wenzhou and Chengdu-Shangrao-Nantong. The number of navigable cities has been increased from 3 to 13, and more than 100,000 passengers have been carried safely. All the operation indexes of ARJ21 aircraft are good. At present, ARJ21 aircraft has the capability of operating safely in all weather conditions required by airworthiness regulations.
Meanwhile, Chengdu Airlines has taken AOC as the base, set up the seats such as ARJ21 aircraft dispatch release and operation monitoring, established an independent release monitoring system, improved the operational efficiency of ARJ21 aircraft fleet, and basically realized the automation, standardization and informatization of operation management. So far, Chengdu Airlines has trained and fostered 28 full-time pilots, 17 navigational workers, 85 maintenance personnel, and 84 qualified flight attendants for ARJ21.
