Bombardier has officially delivered its first Global 8000, marking the entry into service of what is now the fastest civil aircraft since the Concorde. The ultra-long-range jet reaches Mach 0.95, flies up to 8,000 nautical miles, and offers the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation at 2,691 ft.
The handover took place at Bombardier’s Aircraft Assembly Centre in Mississauga, where longtime customer Patrick Dovigi accepted the inaugural aircraft, replacing his Global 7500. The milestone follows the jet’s completion of its flight-test programme and Transport Canada certification, with FAA and EASA approvals pending.
With four true living zones, advanced air quality and lighting systems, and performance that allows access to up to 30% more airports than competitors, Bombardier says the Global 8000 resets the benchmark for speed, comfort, and range in the business jet market.
