Bombardier Global 8000 receives EASA certification

Share

Bombardier has announced that its flagship Global 8000 business jet has received certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), completing certification by all major regulators. The aircraft had previously been certified by Transport Canada in November 2025 and by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in December 2025, and it entered service in December 2025.

The Global 8000 is the world’s fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde, with a top speed of Mach 0.95 and an ultra-long-range capability of 8,000 nautical miles. It also sets a benchmark for passenger comfort, featuring the lowest cabin altitude in business aviation production—2,691 feet while cruising at 41,000 feet—designed to reduce fatigue and improve passenger well-being.

Positioned as Bombardier’s new flagship, the Global 8000 is the only true four-zone business jet capable of flying 8,000 nautical miles nonstop, opening more city-pair connections than any competitor. Despite its size and range, it offers takeoff and landing performance comparable to a light jet, allowing access to up to 30% more airports than its closest rival.

Bombardier says the EASA certification reinforces the aircraft’s strong market momentum and paves the way for increased customer deliveries in 2026.
