Boeing launches Dataliner to connect airline maintenance and fleet data

Boeing has introduced Dataliner, an AI-powered platform designed to combine fragmented airline data with its aircraft and engineering expertise, helping operators assess fleet condition and make maintenance and operational decisions.

Developed in partnership with Microsoft, the platform uses Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft data solutions and other technologies. Boeing says it will allow airlines to analyse information across their fleets rather than assess each aircraft in isolation, supporting efforts to anticipate maintenance needs and identify emerging risks.

Airlines will be able to retain data in their own environments and control what they share. Access to Boeing and industry intelligence will be available through applications, APIs, analytics and AI-enabled tools. The platform includes access controls, encryption and monitoring, without requiring customers to centralise their data in a single system.

Dataliner will also underpin developments across Boeing’s Digital Services portfolio, including Asset Lifecycle Planning and TechOps AI Agent. Boeing intends to use it to improve connectivity with existing products such as Airplane Health Management, Insight Accelerator and Maintenance Performance Toolbox.

The announcement did not identify launch customers, pricing or a deployment timetable, nor did it provide quantified operational benefits.
