Boeing recently welcomed a Belgian delegation to its manufacturing facilities in Renton, Washington, after the Belgium national football team selected the city—home of the Boeing 737 production line—as its base camp.
The visit brought together Belgian Ambassador Frédéric Bernard, Consul General Sophie Hottat, senior Belgian officials and representatives of the Royal Belgian Football Association. Discussions focused on the importance of maintaining a strong global aviation sector and strengthening ties between Belgium and Boeing.
The delegation also met Boeing employees of Belgian heritage and participated in a symbolic exchange of football jerseys, highlighting the close links between aviation, sport and international cooperation.
A highlight of the visit was attending the Red Devils’ match against Egypt, underlining how both aviation and sport can bring together people, cultures and economies across borders.
