Beechcraft BE350 Air Ambulance crashes in Pansol, Laguna, Philippines; no survivors

On 1 September, a Beechcraft BE350 (RP-C2296) Air Ambulance aircraft crashed into a residential area in Pansol, Laguna, Philippines. The aircraft carried nine passengers: two pilots, two nurses, one doctor, a patient, the patient’s wife and two other people, police said.

The aircraft operated a flight from Dipolog Airport and lost radar contact at around 15:10 (local time) while flying 25 nautical miles from Manila.

Four minutes after receiving an Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) alert, a search-and-rescue operation was started.

Around 16:45, local authorities confirmed that the fire which resulted from the crash was under control. None of the nine passengers survived the impact of the crash.

The CAAP Aircraft Accident Investigation and Inquiry Board (AIIB) investigators have been dispatched to the site to determine the cause of the accident.
