AURA AERO has entered a decisive growth phase after completing a €50 million Series B funding round, bringing its total financing to €340 million and enabling a transition from development to full industrial production.
The company will use the funding to advance three core programmes: the first flight of its hybrid-electric regional aircraft ERA, scaling production of the INTEGRAL training aircraft, and expanding its ENBATA drone operations. At the same time, AURA AERO is establishing two major production sites—one in Toulouse and another in Daytona Beach, Florida—marking a significant step toward global manufacturing capability.
The Toulouse facility, located at Francazal Airport, has secured building permits and will anchor European production, while the U.S. site is being developed with support from Space Florida. Together, these sites will support mass production and job creation, as well as the broader industrialisation of low-carbon aviation technologies.
Backed by major investors including Bpifrance, the European Innovation Council Fund, Safran Corporate Ventures, and EDF, the company is positioning itself as a key player in sustainable aviation. The initiative aligns with France 2030, which aims to foster new industrial champions and accelerate decarbonisation.
With over 700 purchase intentions and 20 firm orders for the ERA aircraft, AURA AERO has demonstrated early market validation. The company is targeting several industry firsts, including the debut of a hybrid-electric regional aircraft and certification of a fully electric aircraft in the CS-23 category.
This latest phase signals a shift from roadmap to execution, as AURA AERO moves toward large-scale production and delivery, aiming to establish itself as a long-term industrial force in the global aerospace sector.
