Syensqo secures long-term advanced materials supply deal with Airbus

Share

Belgian advanced materials specialist Syensqo has signed a new multi-year supply agreement with Airbus, extending its long-standing partnership across the European aerospace manufacturer’s commercial aircraft, defence, space and helicopter programmes.

Under the agreement, Syensqo will continue supplying a broad portfolio of high-performance aerospace materials, including prepregs, resin transfer moulding (RTM) resins, structural adhesives and primers. These advanced composite materials are used in the manufacture of lighter, stronger and more efficient aircraft structures while supporting increasingly demanding production rates.

Syensqo said the contract reinforces its position as a key supplier to one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers and reflects its commitment to supporting the future growth of the aerospace industry through both commercial and technical collaboration.

“The agreement reflects our long-standing commitment to the aerospace industry and reinforces our position as a trusted partner to one of the sector’s leading OEMs,” said Rodrigo Elizondo, President of Syensqo Composite Materials.

The company noted that demand for advanced composite materials continues to grow as aircraft manufacturers seek lighter, more fuel-efficient designs while ramping up production to meet strong order backlogs. Supported by its global manufacturing network and engineering expertise, Syensqo aims to help Airbus and other aerospace manufacturers meet these increasing production requirements.

Aerospace remains one of Syensqo’s key growth markets, with continued strength in the civil aviation sector expected to drive further growth in its Composite Materials business throughout 2026.
