Vietnam Helicopter Corporation (VNH) has ordered three Airbus H225 helicopters to strengthen its offshore energy operations and modernise its fleet.
The aircraft will be operated by VNH’s subsidiaries—Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company and Northern Vietnam Helicopter Company—and will gradually replace ageing helicopters while expanding operational capacity.
This latest order continues a more than 40-year partnership between VNH and Airbus Helicopters. According to VNH leadership, the H225 will form the backbone of its future fleet due to its reliability, safety, and performance in demanding offshore environments.
The new helicopters will complement VNH’s existing Airbus fleet, including Super Puma and H155 models, and will be used for offshore transport, search and rescue, and utility missions. Globally, the H225 platform has logged over one million flight hours, with more than 360 units in service.
