U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations (CBP AMO) has ordered 10 additional Airbus H125 helicopters from Airbus to support border security, law enforcement and public safety missions across the United States.

The new aircraft will be built at Airbus’ helicopter manufacturing facility in Columbus, Mississippi, and will bolster CBP AMO’s fleet modernisation programme. The H125 is widely used for airborne law enforcement thanks to its ability to operate in demanding environments while offering low operating costs and multi-mission flexibility.

Equipped with dual-channel Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC), an engine data recorder, and a dual-hydraulic flight control system, the H125 is designed to reduce pilot workload while enhancing safety during complex tactical operations.

Airbus said the order reflects the long-standing relationship between the manufacturer and CBP AMO, with the agency continuing to rely on the H125 for patrol, surveillance and tactical missions. The acquisition will further strengthen the operational capabilities of one of the world’s largest government helicopter operators.
