The expanded mandate brings together Airbus’ national activities in Belgium with its broader institutional engagement at the European level. As Head of Airbus in Belgium, Van Tuyll van Serooskerken will coordinate the company’s national strategy and work closely with Airbus Commercial Aircraft, Airbus Helicopters, and Airbus Defence and Space. Combined with his public affairs responsibilities for the EU and NATO, the role is intended to support sustainable growth in Belgium’s aerospace ecosystem and reinforce the country’s strategic importance in European defence and connectivity.

Van Tuyll van Serooskerken has spent nearly 15 years at Airbus and currently leads Regulatory Legal Affairs, handling complex policy matters. He also serves as Airbus Data Protection Officer, overseeing compliance with digital regulations. An international commercial lawyer with more than two decades of experience, he brings extensive expertise in litigation, investigations and legislative strategy.

Airbus has maintained a strong presence in Belgium for over 20 years, employing around 200 people across sites in Brussels, Diegem and Nivelles. Belgian teams contribute to major programmes such as the A400M and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS). Airbus aircraft underpin the fleets of Brussels Airlines and Air Belgium, while the group also provides services ranging from cybersecurity through Airbus Protect to comprehensive fleet support for the Belgian Armed Forces.
