Relais & Châteaux has expanded its global portfolio with the addition of nine new member properties, strengthening its presence across Europe, North America, and Central America.

Announced on 17 March 2026, the latest additions span France, United States, Mexico, Belize and Turkey, reflecting the group’s continued focus on high-end hospitality rooted in local culture, gastronomy and sustainability.

The new members include a mix of boutique hotels, wellness retreats and fine dining destinations. In the United States, additions range from the nature-focused Georgia retreat Quercus to the historic desert property Castle Hot Springs in Arizona, as well as an alpine lodge in Colorado. In Central America, the group debuts in Belize with a private island resort, while Mexico sees two new openings in Mexico City and Tulum.

In Europe, the expansion includes a redesigned alpine hotel in Megève and a two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Obernai, while Turkey is represented by a vineyard-based retreat near Izmir.

The association said the new members share a common emphasis on “art de vivre,” fine dining and environmental responsibility, despite their diverse concepts and locations. Many of the properties highlight locally sourced cuisine, wellness experiences and architecture designed to reflect regional heritage.

Relais & Châteaux President Laurent Gardinier said the additions underline the group’s commitment to “a more humane and sustainable world” through hospitality and gastronomy.

Founded in 1954, Relais & Châteaux now comprises around 580 independent hotels and restaurants across 65 countries.
