ibis Styles Munich Airport has officially opened, adding a major new accommodation option to the hospitality portfolio of Munich Airport.

The new 358-room hotel, operated under the Accor Group’s ibis Styles brand, is designed as a modern, lifestyle-oriented property catering to business travellers, leisure guests, and airline crews. Its interior design draws inspiration from the nearby Isar River, using green, blue, and slate tones to create a calm and contemporary atmosphere.

Located close to the airport terminals and the LabCampus innovation district, the hotel is positioned to serve short-stay and transit passengers, as well as visitors connected to Munich Airport’s growing business ecosystem.

Airport leadership highlighted the opening as part of a broader strategy to strengthen Munich Airport’s position as a competitive European hub. Jost Lammers emphasised that expanding hotel capacity enhances the airport’s attractiveness for both business and leisure travel while supporting regional economic development.

Accor executives described the property as aligned with the ibis Styles concept of affordable, design-led hospitality with consistent international standards adapted to local context.

The opening also strengthens the airport’s integrated hospitality model, alongside existing properties such as the Hilton Munich Airport, and expands services operated by airport subsidiary Allresto, which already manages a significant share of on-site food, beverage, and catering operations.

The new hotel reflects a broader trend at major European hubs: airports evolving into multi-service destinations combining transport, hospitality, business, and leisure infrastructure within a single ecosystem.
