Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a SATS company, has extended its partnership with Air China Cargo for another three years at Liège Airport, driven by WFS’s proven expertise in handling high-volume e-commerce shipments.
The deal covers ramp and warehouse handling for Air China Cargo’s weekly Boeing 777 and Airbus A330 freighter flights from Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Shanghai. These flights carry strong inbound e-commerce traffic to Belgium and general cargo exports to China.
Both companies are contributing to Liège Airport’s growth, which saw cargo volumes rise 16% year-on-year in 2024 and continue climbing in 2025, with Q1 cargo flights up 6.2% and throughput up 5.6%. WFS operates from a 12,000 sqm facility at the airport, tailored to the needs of Air China Cargo and other e-commerce-focused customers.
