WFS to take over Aviapartner’s cargo activities at Brussels Airport

Share

In February 2026, Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a subsidiary of the Singaporean SATS Group, reached an agreement to acquire Aviapartner Cargo’s freight operations at Brussels Airport.

Key details of the transaction

Scope of the acquisition: WFS will take over all of Aviapartner Cargo nv’s operations, including cargo handling, ground handling for cargo aircraft, and mail management.

Strategic objective for Aviapartner: The group is withdrawing from the Brussels freight market to refocus on its ground handling services for passengers, VIP lounges, and business aviation.

Strengthening for WFS: This transaction consolidates WFS’s leading position at Brussels Airport (BRUcargo), where the company already operates modern facilities specializing in e-commerce and cold chain (pharmaceuticals).

Continuity: The sale does not affect Aviapartner’s passenger services, and both parties are working with Brussels Airport Company to ensure a smooth transition.

The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
