Saudi logistics company Saudi Logistics Services Company (SAL) has agreed to acquire 100% of Aviapartner Liège SA in a $32.7 million cash transaction, expanding its presence in the European air cargo market.
The acquisition is being carried out through a conditional sale and purchase agreement with Aviapartner Belgium NV and Aviapartner Holding NV, the current owners of the company. The deal values Aviapartner Liège at an enterprise value of approximately $32.7 million (SAR 123 million) and remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
Headquartered in Liège, Belgium, Aviapartner Liège provides ground handling and cargo services and operates across 75 airports in Europe and Africa.
Through the acquisition, SAL aims to establish a direct operational foothold at Liège Airport, one of Europe’s key air cargo hubs, strengthening its global logistics network.
The deal forms part of SAL’s strategy to expand its international operations and diversify revenue sources by broadening its cargo handling and logistics services at major airports.
The company also expects the transaction to create operational synergies through access to advanced airport infrastructure and established airline partnerships within the European aviation ecosystem.
Once completed, the acquisition will enhance SAL’s ability to serve international cargo customers while reinforcing its position in the rapidly growing global air freight sector.
