Your opinions/experiences/ideas about aircraft modifications

First of all, for moderators: This is my first time here, I'm not sure if the post is correct and located where it should be, I apologize in advance.

Hello everyone, this is my first post here, I'm sorry if there have already been similar posts, to be honest, I haven't been looking for very long.
Now let's get to the topic. It will be interesting for me to get acquainted with any ideas, opinions and your experience. There are experienced pilots and ground crew here, I will be grateful if you write your ideas or suggestions, I am very interested to know about your experience of operating an aircraft related to modifications /working with modifications /developing modifications (if someone works in this field, your opinion would be incredibly important and valuable to me). I want to know your opinion about modifications, your ideas about what could be brought to the new aircraft(I mean, if possible) or something that can be improved in older versions. I would like to hear about any modifications but my priority is modifications related to electronics/digital electronics/automation of some processes. I'm still studying at the university and I don't have much experience, so any of your work experience will mean a lot to me. Also, if you would recommend literature to me that could help or is just related to this, I would be very happy. In any case, I will be grateful to you for your time on my post.

A little context, this is off topic, but if you need it:
I will have to write a graduate work on module 5(We call it that, but you will probably be closer to this name: Bachelor thesis/Senior project. The essence is the same, so it's not that important) .I have more than six month to finish it. Now I have started collecting information and ideas, the topic has not yet been determined, but there is a condition, and it is to use electronics, I thought about creating a simplified prototype (I planned to use Arduino software) for a possible innovation that could have weight or something like that.
