OO-TMY returned to BRU shortly after its sister ship as JAF112F.
If he was able to leave soon after his little brother, why have to charter another plane if he can fly ? Is it a matter of security or something else ?
TUI spokeswoman Sarah Saucin told me that OO-TUV brought a spare part for OO-TMY from Brussels to Alicante. The repair could be done immediately and OO-TMY could depart to Brussels 15 minutes after OO-TUV.
Next mission for OO-TUV: flight to Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, on behalf of Belgian Defence tomorrow.
TUI Group has taken delivery of its first Boeing 737 MAX since the grounding was lifted. It departed from Boeing Field yesterday afternoon and is flying nonstop to London Gatwick from Seattle. The MAX 8 named "Naples" is registered G-TUMJ and will fly with TUI Airways.
