At least 8 Ryanair "airworthiness flights" filed for CRL-CRL today. At the time of writing, RYR40 is airborne. Most will do one pattern (one takeoff and landing).

Ryanair does seem to be the only airline to do so, hence my question why they are operating these little flights.

A friend says these are "maintenance" flights.
Which means everything but nothing.
I’d be curious to know why they’re doing this as well.

I think (dont quote me on it) it is to prevent them from having to be put in long term storage.
