YUL makes even more sense for SN than YYZ. The Québec province and Québec City attract a lot of belgian tourists, among which many French speaking for an obvious reason.
Of course it would be better for SN if AC would discontinue its own flights to YUL and concentrate on YYZ, which is a better hub for them to other North American destinations.
Kind of disagree on this. AC and Air Transat have french speaking crew (native, I mean) from YUL. SN is very rarely the case.

And sadly enough, AC has a much better product than SN on their 787 fleet. Curious about Air Transat with their new A321LR. Probably pretty good too!

I was not refering to the crews, but to the French-speaking Quebecans. Regarding the SN crews, they're all fluent in French (albeit with a pleasant accent for some of them :) )!

That's another matter and you"re right that AC has an advantage there.

Competition has never been so high one some of these routes... My bet: sadly enough, within the year another carrier will step out of some of these destinations...

SWISS plans A320neo service from mid-March 2020 on the route from Zurich to Brussels (and also on routes to Hamburg, London Heathrow and Valencia).
