The prime minister will travel aboard the new government Boeing 777-300ER that entered into service earlier this month. The plane, primary used by the prime minister and the emperor, is more fuel efficient and has a longer travel distance than the previous government aircraft, a Boeing 747 that entered service in 1993, with inflight Wi-Fi available.

For background info:
T7's 80-1111 and 80-1112 are about to arrive FCO now (after crossing Belgian airspace for Paris-ns yesterday).
So (as a regular operation) tandem is near!

And you bet they're back in Japan on the 30th as there'll be a new Emperor!

Hi

Just to join the discussion - after a short web search - the JP PM will meet in Slovakia on Thursday several other heads of State - the Vishegrad group - and the meeting with the EU starts on THU at 17:30 - so we can expect landing in BRU earlier than 5 pm.... hopefully will get some advance notice on the Forum.....

Hi,

According to the provided links, at 17:30 there will be the arrival and welcome of Japan Prime Minister Shinzō Abe. Hence, arrival in BRU should be much earlier.

Best regards,
Ivan

Abe will be the first Japanese prime minister to visit Slovakia, where he is scheduled to hold a meeting on Thursday with leaders from the Visegrad Four — Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Hungary.

The 777's will come from Slovakia and are flying on ADSB under civilian radar settings.

Dear All

Some pictures from yesterday. Many thanks again for the information passed here - without it I would have waited for 25R and missed the photo opportunity.

All the best
Dragos
