Ladies were allowed to disembark without wearing a scarf on their hair.

#DY8920 (B737-800 reg. LN-DYG) is on its way to Shiraz, Iran to collect passengers after #DY1933 diverted there earlier with an engine issue. How the stricken aircraft, 737 MAX 8 reg. LN-BKE, will be repaired is unknown at this time. Difficult diplomatic negotiations in view of American sanctions!

But what's the matter with those brand new MAX aircraft?

More information: One of the crew members is Iranian and speaks Persian, which the Norwegian Head of PR in Denmark calls very lucky in this situation. 186 passengers are stuck at Shiraz Airport.

Scarf is only for visitors and crew who are travelling to the place, also a Turkish airlines flight to or from India had diverted to Iran with an Israeli passenger on board, he wasnt treated any different to the others.

Do pax get a stamp in their passport? Alex Macheras writes that passengers might face difficulties entering the U.S.

Nope. The Visa which gets the entry stamp is on a separate sheet of paper. The passport remains free of stamps.

However, when travelling to the USA you have to fill out a questionnaire, asking if you've been to Iran (amongs others) lately, and if you're too honest there, you indeed might face difficulties...

But if you lie and they find out you've been to Iran (courtesy of Facebook, Google, etc.), it could even be worse!

If They went from the plane straight into the departure hall to wait for a replacement aircraft they didnt actually enter the country as they didnt cross the border and stayed in “No mans land”

If you’re keeping track:

I spent 10 days in Iran last month, and I fully agree with you.

Your American friend doens't say that about the Iranian people, but about the Iranian "leaders".

Forty days after the diversion, the aircraft is still stranded. And no progress is foreseen ...

Norwegian should ask Trump to give them a new Boeing 737-MAX8 to replace the one stuck in Iran by his stupid decision.

Maybe not: Aviation Iran says that, according to a Reuters news item, "Norwegian is in the process of having a new engine flown to Shiraz Airport for the grounded Boeing 737 MAX 8 (LN-BKE) within the next few days. The aircraft will be flown back to Norway 'within the next week'".
