Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Great news! The big question is: 25L or 25R? "...and will be parked at Abelag/Luxaviation" would speak for 25R because of the shorter taxiway.

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Ok, honestly guys, since I am not to believe that you made up so much bullsh*t yourselves with all this false info on the E2 flight: who fed you with the wrong information? It sounds like Radio Yerivan!
Question to Radio Yerivan:
"Is it true that an Embraer E2 arrives today around 1600 to BRU to be parked at Abelag (suggesting arrival on 25R)?"
Answer of Radio Yerivan:
"It is true. However, it is around 1430 rather than 1600, it will arrive on 25L and be parked in front of the TUI hangars."
But hey, at least the registry and the date were correct! Honestly, I don't want to blame you guys at aviation24.be, but this info you got was just awfully wrong and frustrating.

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Well, several sources mentioned 16:00 as expected arrival time. Expected, that is....

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Again, I don't blame you because you usually don't make up things like this yourselves, so my impression was that you were fed the wrong information: wrong arrival time (1,5hrs is huge, especially considering the flight time LBG-BRU being less than 40 mins), wrong parking position (TUI hangars it is)... Too bad for every spotter who wasn't at 25L by coincidence...

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Viktor, a short flight makes is far more dificult to have an exact ETA. If crew decides they are ready they simply ask ATC for an upgrade of the flightplan.
If this would have depart from Brazil a more accurate ETA would have been known about 7 hours before touchdown in Brussel.
For the record, Embrear completely cancelled the planned demo in Amsterdam. I think it's rather strange to go to Brussels for TUI, knowing they won't order it anyway. So i think you can be happy anyway.
Best and kind regards Pieter,

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Hi Pieter, of course the extra-short flight time didn't help to find the correct ETA. Yes I know that these kind of flights tend to come and go much more freely than scheduled passenger flights. And indeed I was quite surprised to hear it is coming to BRU, especially as TUI Belgium is apparently not planning to get the E2 in the near future.AK01 wrote: ↑21 Sep 2018, 15:12 Viktor, a short flight makes is far more dificult to have an exact ETA. Best and kind regards Pieter,
But how nice it is to know it is "in town": if it comes too early to spot and is parked in an area where you can't spot it, it is somewhat pointless to be happy about it. If they only made some demo flights... but according to the news (the same that pointed to 1600 and Abelag, khm khm... ), it will spend the whole weekend sitting at that "invisible" spot. Maybe they had to find a "parking spot" for the time of the cancelled AMS demo. So apart from airport employees, "normal" spotters won't get it - unless you are not working on Monday and try to catch it when it departs.

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
This is a normal thing. For example. Last wednesday a AN12 was expected at 10:05L in Eindhoven. But it arrived at 08:20L. They departed earlier, so what?? You missed it! Face it, be happy we still post information about anything.Vic Diesel wrote: ↑21 Sep 2018, 14:49 Ok, honestly guys, since I am not to believe that you made up so much bullsh*t yourselves with all this false info on the E2 flight: who fed you with the wrong information? Ever tried the spotter platform 07/01? With a good zoom you should be able to spot it...or am I that wrong?Vic Diesel wrote: ↑21 Sep 2018, 15:23it will spend the whole weekend sitting at that "invisible" spot.
Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Its not in front of the TUI hangar, so I guess it is inside. If so I expect it will stay there for the weekend (due wx)
Unless anyone knows better?

It was indeed towed inside the TUI hangar yesterday afternoon.

The information I received initially said exactly the same thing: arrival at 1600 local, and it was foreseen for Abelag. Things panned out differently, get over it.

Point taken, however I pointed out several times that I never doubted you were acting / posting in good faith (see above in multiple posts). So, while my reaction might have been emotional (disappointment and anger against bad luck), it was never in any way directed against you - it was by no means "rude". That had to be said.KriVa wrote: ↑22 Sep 2018, 14:42 It was indeed towed inside the TUI hangar yesterday afternoon.

Re: BRU 21/09/2018
Said TUI to me. I recently met their spokesperson: TUI will not buy the E2 in the immediate future. Long-term perhaps, which might justify the visit...
