Hi Fly plans to grow its fleet to 100 aircraft over the next 10 years, including adding more A380s.

More A380s? They barely use the only one they have now.

Maybe it will be like the A340. Regular operators don't like it but ACMI operators have other variables they like more in these undesirable planes. And which other plane is suited to replace i/e a double A330 flight in one go.

HiFly operated A380 for Air Madagascar on 30 June (flight MD21 Paris CDG - Antananarivo) and 1 July (flight MD50 return to CDG).

It sure doesn't fly very often. Its previous "duty" was a flight to the Paris Air Show.

What it's interesting, is that the A380 has served some airports, where the A380 never landed. At Dakar, Air France operated just a fuel stop during a ferry flight from ABJ to CDG. Hifly was the 1st airline to operate an A380 passengers service to Dakar

Most airports don’t have the financial resources to significantly upgrade the airport to allow for A380 operations, "in a short time".

Even if the A380 won't be a common sight in these airports, it's a good way for airports and airline ground staff, of the airline which has leased the aircraft, to acquire experience, especially in some countries, where they is a lack of skilled staff. It's a big issue, in many Africans countries.

About Air Madagascar, Air Austral (which owns 49% of stake of Air Madagascar) has brought its expertise to enable to Air Madagascar and Antananarivo Airport to enable to handle the A380, without any incidents.

Today Hi Fly 9H-MIP is stealing the show in Cairo, after landing with 471 passengers onboard (full capacity), as there are no other commercial flights operated with an A380 in this airport. It operated Air Madagascar flight MD8130 from Antananarivo (charter?).

Due to A340 maintenance (EASA note about CFM56), Air Madagascar had to make changes on its engines...

Maybe the same for Air Belgium?

Currently flying as CRL984 (Corsair), to Abidjan, but from CDG. Corsair serves Abidjan, from Orly. Sometimes, Corsair operates flights from CDG, mostly, due to curfew at Orly, but it's very rare.

Another interesting mission for the HiFly A380: flying for Estelar Airlines flight ES894 from Madrid for a first time visit to Caracas, Venezuela, where there is no gate capable of handling it.

Apparently, the plane will remain based in CCS operating the airline’s flights to Buenos Aires and Madrid until the A340-300 comes out of maintenance.

I hope for them that the rental price was pocketed before ... the first flight.

Norwegian Air’s flying an A380 with Singapore Suites again

Right now, you can catch a ride on this Airbus giant between New York (JFK) and Paris (CDG), as the plane is once again being leased for operations by Norwegian to service the route on certain days. It’s already been seen flying between these city pairs a lot recently, according to FlightRadar24, and is currently slated to make the run several times over the next several days through Sept. 10.

Hi Fly A380 operating from China

After spending a few months in heavy maintenance, the Hi Fly A380 is operating again. The aircraft ferried to Tianjin this week, possibly for cargo use.

For the first time, an Airbus A380 landed Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Hi Fly 9H-MIP arrived at Las Americas International airport this morning, after a direct flight of 16h20m and 14527 km, from Tianjin, China.
