Laudamotion and Eurowings decided to end their cooperation after 31 May 2018, after their current deal comprising eight wet-leased aircraft to Eurowings ends.
I'm glad I flew them last week on an Eurowings flight out of TXL

Laudamotion may be completely sold to Ryanair from 2021, says Niki Lauda, who says he holds an option to divest.

Laudamotion to cancel planned service to and from Zurich set for June 2018, as “third-party leasing companies have not confirmed the delivery dates for two A320s as agreed”.

Laudamotion opened reservation for its planned Vienna base, set to launch in late-October 2018 with 20 mostly European routes.

Laudamotion, together with Ryanair, is in talks with Airbus and leasing companies to lease A320ceos and A320neos.

The European Commission filing says EU antitrust regulators will decide by 12 July 2018 whether to wave through the Ryanair bid for a 75% stake in Laudamotion.

Not surprisingly, the decision is welcomed by Ryanair, which at the same time accuses Lufthansa of destabilising Laudamotion by reclaiming 9 aircraft leased to the Austrian airline. Lufthansa retaliates by saying it needs the aircraft for Eurowings and has the right to terminate the contract.

The war is declared between Lufthansa and Ryanair about LaudaMotion!

With all due respect for Niki Lauda, I don't think he has proved to be much of a manager in the past.

Is he acting as a straw man for a big airline or does he intend to resell soon and make a quick buck?
Pure speculation of course...

Lufthansa contract with Laudamotion for 11 aircraft was recently terminated by a London court (it looks like Ryanair lost that case, at least in part), even though Laudamotion will continue to operate nine wet-leased A320s from Lufthansa during summer 2018. Further proceedings will be heard on 19 November 2018 over the aircraft leasing contracts.

Laudamotion plans to cut back on the number of wet leased aircraft from Ryanair in winter 2018/19, as there is plenty of room for independent growth, according to CEO Andreas Gruber. Laudamotion plans to integrate 50 more aircraft into its current fleet and add 40 routes to Germany in the coming years.

Lufthansa and Laudamotion settled a dispute over leasing contracts, avoiding a London court hearing that was scheduled for November 2018. Laudamotion will redeliver the nine Airbus aircraft it has leased from Lufthansa between 31 December 2018 and end of June 2019.

To replace them and to further expand, Laudamotion expects to gradually take delivery of 18 A320s by summer 2019.
