Wizz Air announced it will add a fourth Airbus A320 to its Warsaw base in April 2012, increasing services to London Luton (21-times-weekly to 25-times-weekly), Brussels Charleroi (five-times-weekly to daily), Stockholm Skavsta (five-times-weekly to daily), Rome Fiumicino (five-times-weekly to daily), Milan Bergamo (twice-weekly to four-times-weekly), Gothenburg (twice-weekly to thrice-weekly), Oslo Sandefjord Torp (thrice-weekly to five-times-weekly), Barcelona (twice-weekly to thrice-weekly) and Eindhoven (twice-weekly to thrice-weekly) from April 2012.

Some great announcements coming out of Brussels South Charleroi Airport at the moment. New service (or rather a few years of interruption) to Manchester airport. Good work CRL!

In "Le Soir" this morning, page 12 : the official notice of a meeting for the inhabitants of the neighbouring communities about the lenghtening of the CRL runway.
The runway would be lenghtened by 400m (2550 to 2950m) to the east (in the direction Jumet-Heppignies) with modification and lenghtening of the taxiways. These works would all be inside the present airside area of the airport.
The meeting will be held on 23 november at 18.30, auditoire du Point Centre, Aéropole de Gosselies. Contact : Jean Santacatterina, [email protected]

Does Ryanair has many BELGIAN cabin crew members at CRL base?

Hi, I'm a Belgian cabin crew for ryanair (not for so long, I go to Monarch Airlines). I'm base in Bergamo,I'm the only Belgian there in the cabin crew.

The answer for Charleroi is NO, there is not a lot of Belgian in any the base of Ryanair, I'm even not sure there are 10 in CRL.

And just for a small information, the Base supervisor of the base of Alicant (wich is the highest person in the bases) is Belgian!

CRL still have room for 2 millions pax to go up from 6 to 8 millions before the opening of the new enlarged terminal which will allow CRL to handle up to 15 millions pax.

Ryanair today announced that it will base a 15th aircraft at Brussels Charleroi airport for summer 2012 and add 4 new routes (79 in total) to Chania (Crete), Corfu, Memmingen (Munich West) and Rodez starting in April next.

Riga airport is said to have increased its security fees; as a result, Ryanair is going to largely reduce its flights to Riga.

Riga-Charleroi will not be suspended. It is the Bristol route that is ended. Nevertheless there will indeed be reductions to the Charleroi route.
