Qatar Airways has taken delivery of its first 4 of 30 Boeing 787-9s just before year end. A7-BHA, A7-BHB, A7-BHD, and A7-BHE arrived home in Doha today.

Boeing could be forced to cut production of its bigger B787s to 10 aircraft per month, amid a drought of orders from China and U.S., says John Plueger, CEO of Air Lease Corp.

Boeing is considering an additional production cut for its B787, possibly furthering its issues in its commercial aeroplanes division.

The production rate for the 787 Dreamliner will be cut further in early 2021 to just ten jets per month from the current 14 per month. Boeing said it hopes to hike the rate back up to building 12 jets per month in 2023.
