Welcome on board, it is truly u S.

BEAP Holding SA

Belgian Employees Aviation Promotion.

Welcome on board, it is truly u S .

I heard about this news as well on the radio today.

Well, I hope that they will finally be able to launch the airline as they claim.

Does someone already knows with which type of plane the airline would start its operations ?

If it will be a joint venture with ExelAviationGroup (BelgiumExel), it would be a B767, I think

I think it's a 'wait-and-see' for BEAP, many rumours have been spread along the years. Still waiting for something official though :?

If they want their own AOC and start operations by the end of this year, they should have applied at least two months ago (see JAR-OPS rules).

I don't know if they did or didn't, but if they didn't it makes quite clear they'll use the AOC of someone else (wet-lease). BelgiumExel is a name that springs to mind quite quickly...
:)

Time will tell

So will this mean we will once again see somebody launch an intercontintal airline (without any feeder lines) from a relatively modest airport like BRU????

And what will be the name? Still working with the Brussels United Airways name (sounds line a soccer team) ? Or will it be AfricExel?

Although I'd really like ot be very enthousiastic about this, it just don't feel this to be a very sound idea, bu then I don't know all details.

Maybe they will use SN as European feeder and actively promote their new routes too. They will surely need to do so, if they do not want to go the path of VG airlines.

Posted this already two weeks ago.

Exelaviationgroup has possibities for feeder operations. ATRs and EMBREAR 145s. Dont think that this is necessary anyway.

I would also be enthusiastic if I were part of BEAP. It seems that they have been working on the project longenough to have some guarantee that it might work after all. But I don't know the details. Maybe we shall know more later today?

BUA was the project of some Canadian crooks. That is dead, and for good. And te Canadian financier (!) is said to be in jail.

AfricExel?

Why not BEAP after all? It used to stand for Belgian Employees Aviation Promotion, but some say it is BElgian Aviation Pride now...

I would just like to say that the good people of BEAP had better make sure that their use of the Dutch language on their site is correct. Otherwise, some people might just get the impression that the good people at BEAP aren't too concerned about attracting Dutch-speaking costumers.

I have just deleted two controversial messages in this thread.

Please see forum rules:

7. As this is a website that attracts people from the entire world respect each other's religion, political choice, and others… This is an aviation website and we like to stay far away from this kind of topics.

And now back to the topic, please.

Ericaairlines, I confirm what Ozzie1969 says: if BEAP wants to be succesfull, they will need clients from north and south. The information in Dutch is translated by somebody who speaks French. Is there nobody with BEAP who speaks Dutch as native language?
.
What's wrong if we say that?

I do hope that BEAP understands the message: please correct de Vlomske s.v.p.
