It's Brussels, for both.
I wonder if Air Antwerp and TUI will share the passengers' coach transfer from BRU to ANR.

If no solution has been found, there's still a public company named SNCB/NMBS, from Zaventem right to Antwerp Central!

When your car is parked at Antwerp Airport, B-Rail Antwerpen-Centraal (or better: B-Rail Antwerpen-Berchem) is fine indeed, but only when there are enough taxis to bring you to the airport.

Same story today, WP141 (Air Antwerp F-50) on finals for EBBR. And TB1262 (TUI ERJ-190) from Murcia will probably have to do the same in half an hour.

The square in front of Antwerp Airport has a new name: Paula Marckxplein. This morning, an ANR hangar was the venue for the farewell ceremony for Paula Marckx, who died age 94. She was a journalist, a pilot, a businesswoman and a pilot (BAFA?).

Paula Marckx become famous in Belgium when she, in 1979, won a European court case against Belgium because her daughter, born from an officially unknown father, didn't had the same rights as children from a married couple.

When will people understand that Antwerp airport is totally useless. Why invest there in an airport having 300 000 pax a year situated in the parking of Brussels and situated 40km from an airport having 26 000 000 of pax a year, Brussels and another one of 72 000 000 pax for Amsterdam.

Even if your final destination is Antwerp, it's more convenient to fly from Brussels, the train takes only 25 minutes to reach Antwerp, a little bit longer from Amsterdam 1h30 but still very convenient with the direct connection.

Even the catchment area of Antwerp is bad as as in the north you have the sea, and in the south you have Brussels, with people who prefer of course to fly from brussels or Charleroi.

Let's Antwerp focus on what they are good at, the harbor and let the aviation to people who can make something of it.

 (pre-corona) sustained double digit growth in pax. numbers which, in normal circumstances would have continued for some time to come... With a clear potential for more destinations like Canary & Greek Islands if suitable aircraft should become available (E2-series, A220)

no, totally not, The distance it takes to walk from any mode of transport to the check in @BRU, you'are sitting in the plane in ANR. The time required for check-in, security, endless walking,... at BRU is double or triple that of ANR. The only reason for people from the ANR catchment area (a million of so, I guess) to choose other airports is lack of destinations (of course), and price (no low-cost at ANR)
And bizz jets were doing also pretty well.

Brussels has a harbour too :P
Or should we understand that the Port of Brussels is totally useless, there's a much bigger port nearby blahblahblah?

Antwerp as a business airport makes quite a lot of sense: in the morning traffic, you're faster from BRU to ANR than you are from ANR to BRU by car. Add the short distances inside the airport and the short waiting times to that, and you just loose a lot less time flying from ANR compared to BRU. Time which matters for short business trips with a direct flight, but not when you're a transferring passenger to a long haul destination. For those purposes I agree BRU is better.

Yes it's easy to have a double digit with such few pax a year, you add one additional flight with 15 and half pax onboard Antwerp Airlines and you have you double digit growth. Look at CRL, there you see what means a real sustained double digit growth. And yes, Antwerp is close to the sea, what type of pax are you expecting to catch from there? fishes?

Well actually, I think that as well. Let's focus on what we are good at, leave the rest for entity who can do better and let's work together. This how it should work.

Antwerp airport is an amazing airport. I loved to depart from there in the 90's with KLM.
Once KLM stopped flying and you had to go by train, they lost a very frequent flyer.
The train is a hassle when you travel alone with luggage.
I used Antwerp airport once again 2 years ago with VLM to London City and the airport even improved compared to the 90's.
I just wish they could attract a network airline so you could transfer on intercontinental flights from Zurich, Frankfurt,...
That the cachement area is small is just ridiculous. I think the main problem is the short runway.
EIndhoven is in the same cachement area and does very well.

Landed today around 2200 was a Saab 340 with JNL callsign. ADSB returns 486250 as hex code, reg shows as PH-CUA but no results on the interwebz. New addition?

Edit: some research shows that it might be SE-LXJ, since March 2018 stored and for sale by TAM - Täby Air Maintenance AB. To be operated by JNL for the new Polish startup CU Air?
