One hour ago, I saw a squawk 7700 alert on my FR24 app. A private Socata PBM-900 registered PH-JRN coming from Faro ar FL310 thus descended to FL110 at the Spanish-French border and continued at that low altitude over France and Belgium before trying apparently to land at Kempen airport (or rather aerodrome) in Budel, just over the Belgian border in The Netherlands.
But then (still according to FR24) the aircraft landed on a road, short of the runway of Kempen airport. A Cessna 152 (I couldn't take its registration before it disappeared) seemed to have been dispatched from Kempen airport to see what happened.
Strange, if you ask me.
On the picture, the Socata (in red) is at its final position, while the Cessna (in yellow) is circling around it.

Excuse me saying, but I think you've let your imagination going a bit too far. My interpretation is that they encountered some technical/ pressurization problem over the Spanish-French border (leaving their track by a 70° turn, squawk 7700, soon followed by max. rate descend to FL110). Then they continue at FL110 (not really low altitude/level) all the way with a normal squawk again and only in the region of Spa started their normal descend.sn26567 wrote: ↑12 Jul 2020, 13:55 One hour ago, I saw a squawk 7700 alert on my FR24 app. A private Socata PBM-900 registered PH-JRN coming from Faro ar FL310 thus descended to FL110 at the Spanish-French border and continued at that low altitude over France and Belgium before trying apparently to land at Kempen airport in Budel, just over the Belgian border in The Netherlands.

Then on their final approach, FR24 lost contact with the ADS-B signal over a road and the last 'captured' altitude was 75 ft (but with current QNH the real, corrected altitude was a more normal +/- 500ft). The Cessna 152 was doing circuits for a while already, and surely was in circuit when the PBM landed, but I very much doubt it was used as a chase plane or was 'dispatched'.
My interpretation is that they landed safely and only had a pressurization issue en-route.

This evening, around 7pm, a Virgin Airlines 787 landed on RWY 01/02. Anyone knows why it's here?
Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2020
Cargo service, has been operating since a month or two. First routing LHR-JFK-BRU-LHR, nowadays it’s a LHR terminator.
Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2020
Wow. What kind of cargo, do you think? And would this be Covid-related? I assume Virgin sees this as an opportunity to make some money?
Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2020
Virgin Atlantic has cancelled all passenger flights until 20 July (see https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/virg ... r-flights/ ). Hence, indeed, cargo flights are a little opportunity to make a little money and prevent pilots to lose their licence.

ANR Antwerp Airport: around 10h15-10h30 local, a CJ2 (Cessna Citation 525A) went into a holding above Antwerp. After landing, Tower told two aircraft, waiting for take off, that a runway check for hydraulic fluids had to be done first. That check was negative.
FR24 shows the holding, but not the reg.

Kalitta flight K4 978 from Brussels to Cincinnati (Boeing 747-400BCF reg N707CK) makes U-turn over England and diverts to Leipzig, where the freight can be transferred to another aircraft. It doesn't come back to BRU because there is no alternative aircraft available.

Does anyone know why OO-SFD BEL1231 on Tuesday 28 July, which
was supposed to go to COO, was diverted to ABJ ?
Merci, Alain.

With CAVOK and winds below 5kts all day, it doesn’t seem to be weather related...

Ryanair FR2334 just diverted to CRL (AGP-AMS), departure expected at 21:30 to AMS.
Reason unknown.
(Checked that this aircraft was expected at AMS, and it is)

Aircraft change to EI-DHA suggests technical. Learjet M-ABGV estimated from BGY at 21.30.
