I am on the line with the Easyjet call center.
It took 2 hours 45 minutes for someone to take me off the music. While on hold, I went out for 30 minutes, came home, made dinner and started eating, when suddenly someone answered.

I called with with a request to take me off the flight after rebooking me without my consent, to avoid going no-show.
So apparently they are going to let me go no show and I have to claim the refund, they're just going to leave a note for the refund people.

On another booking, they gave me a voucher instead of the requested refund.
There's nothing they can do about it they said.
So there, the only option is to contact your credit card company.

If you're worried about spending a fortune on calls, you can purchase a subscription for UK landlines on Skype for less than 4 EUR, it gives you unlimited calls.

What a mess.

Coronavirus: EasyJet cuts capacity on weaker passenger confidence

EasyJet has warned it expects to operate a weaker flight programme than hoped for in the coming months because of a series of coronavirus pressures.

[...]

It read: "In response to this reduced demand for travel... easyJet now expects to fly slightly less than the 40% of planned capacity for Q4 2020 which was highlighted at our Q3 trading update.https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus- ... e-12066356

Virgin Atlantic to return 52 London Gatwick slots to Norwegian, who will, in turn, return 35 slots to easyJet and six slots to British Airways. Also, TUI (UK) will return six Gatwick slots each to both UK-based airlines. EasyJet will obtain 87 slots from Norwegian in total.

Everyone followed?

easyJet has agreed with Airbus to defer the delivery of 22 aircraft from 2022-24 to 2027-28. In addition, 15 delivery dates within 2022-24 will move to more closely match forecast seasonal requirements. As a result, the future aggregate cash price of the aircraft subject to deferrals will increase. The airline also had the option until 31 December 2020 not to take up to seven aircraft scheduled for delivery between 2022-26.
