Not exactly blacklisted, Cyprus will allow visitors from 19 countries. Belgium is not amongst these countries, that’s all, no need for further drama.
Well, for sure it is absolutely not good news. Also Greece announced today the list of 29 countries which they allow as from 15 June. Also in this Belgium is excluded. A new list they will release before 1st July.
But almost daily flights from ATH to BRU with A3.
Yes it is and that's why it is so confusing for airlines if they can or not, bcs Europe is completely not clear in this.
Borders are still closed if you want to come with a car but more or less 14 airlines are still flying on BRU. So try to understand this mess which Europe is creating

I don't think Europe is creating problems. Each country acted independently to close its borders first, and later to reopen them. Europe asked the countries to coordinate their reopening, but Italy, Greece and Spain were too much in a hurry to get tourists back that they didn't give a damn about Europe's advice.

You can cross borders by car and by aircraft as long as you have a justified reason.
Tourism isn’t allowed nor by car nor by aircraft, not convenient at all but quite clear if you ask me

Actually A3 was asked to continue the BRU flights so the government could have a link with the EU (I am fairly certain some other companies were asked to do the same). The cherry on top is the big Greek diaspora that lives here and they can go back to Greece fairly easily.

Only if they work here and are residents in Greece (or the opposite). No VFR nor tourism, all arrivals in BRU are terminal B and if you don’t have a valid reason you’ll be denied entrance.

If it can soften the pill, the Dutch people are not more welcome in Greece than the Belgian ones.

Wizzair started today it's first flight from/to Budapest. Can we expect any new flights from them to BRU? Seems odd for just that flight as Vienna and Tirana will start from Charleroi.

Wizz Air is a low-cost airline and obviously has a preference for CRL. If there are additional routes to BRU (if any), it will be from high-yielding destinations like VIE.

Not so bad. This will bring balance again. Of course we can't deny airlines to come and fly. But the route is Let's say not that mature enough to allow SN, LOT and Wizzair.

Imagine Wizzair and next year a new base of Transavia at BRU that would really kill.

Let's go back to normality

Eskisehir..

While the traffic at BRU is still almost non-existant , can someone explain why the number of flights to/from Eskisehir is exploding (more than summer last year)...

Indeed, three airlines now operating into AOE airport from BRU quite often (multiple times a week): JAF, THU and now Corendon. Also Brussels Airlines operates every now and then I believe, albeit not so often as the others (I don’t know the exact schedules).

Nouvelair Tunisie planned to add Tunis – Brussels service from 23 August 2020 with A320. Not sure service actually started. Can anyone confirm?
