Hedging fuel can be a good move when fuel prices are going up. But...

Air France-KLM Group is facing a fuel hedging loss of US$1 billion at current prices.

"...This Transaviaexport Airlines 747-300 en route from Shanghai to Belgrade via Novosibirsk is the only B743 we're currently tracking and one of the last active of the type...

Nothing special, indeed. But for some, it will be: this Belarus 747-300 EW-465TQ started its life as Sabena's OO-SGD. First SN flight 25/09/1990.

why finally ? HiFly is a wet lease airline, they have no interest in having their colors on their planes or not since there operating for other airliners which would make it easier to add stickers to a complete white plane ;-)

Last Saturday, an Air France A330-200 was hit by gunfire at Pointe-Noire, Rep. of Congo. No one was injured after the shots, as the plane was parked with no crew or passengers: the flight had arrived earlier from Paris as AF373V. The plane was to make repatriation flight AF4145 between Pointe-Noire, Bangui (Central African Republic) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle on Easter Sunday. The flight has been postponed for 24 hours to allow a replacement Boeing 777-200 aircraft registered F-GSPG to arrive from Paris-Charles de Gaulle as flight AF380V.

Apparently, the incident was linked to a disagreement between an agent of the Directorate General of Territorial Surveillance and his chief. The officer who fired was under the influence of alcohol. It was a Kalashnikov shot in the air that hit the plane.

Update: F-GSPG has returned to Paris CDG:
