Post by TLspotting »

As SWISS is part of LH Group and a major player, it is interesting to make a new news thread.

This topic is about SWISS.

Why does the forum needs to contaminated with every single news item on the homepage? In case of LH Group, even 5 times... :?:

The forum is becoming a collection of links to the homepage. It's getting used less and less for what it used to be: a discussion place between aviation aficionados ...

I agree with DW, why having different topics for every member of the group if you post the same link in every topic? On top of that the links are to articles on the homepage...
A topic Brussels Airlines and another one for the rest of the LH group would be more than sufficient.

And it's not just repatriation flights or cargo ...
As we said in french...on n'est pas sorti de l'auberge !
Some airlines still operating sheculded flights, but it will decrease, from the next week ;), as more and more countries put confinement rules.

Air France should cut all domestic flights, next week, till at least may 2020. Paris Orly will close. More and more French airports are closing. At Roissy we will close the Terminal 1 / Terminal 2C / 2A / 2E gates M (S3).

Only 2F (Air France domestic and UE flights), 2D (because Belavia and Bulgraria Air still serving CDG) and 2E gate K will be open, at least till 6 April 2020. After, probably more terminals will close.

Yesterday, at the work, i saw an Emirates B777-300ER A6-ENM parked at the cargo ramp, at Paris CDG. But no pax, only Emirates containers unloaded and loaded. Aircraft was using the Emirates flights numbers normaly used for the DXB CDG service. But flight wasn't listed on Paris Aeroports website.

An example, Swiss operates some 100% cargo flight, but keeps the commercial flight numbers. It was thesame case with the Emirates flight that I saw during my shift in Roissy, parked at the cargo ramp, 2 days ago. Passengers plane, but no pax, only cargo, but with flight number normally used for pax EK 75/76 flights. And it seems, it is a "regular service": https://www.flightradar24.com/data/flights/ek76

Swiss sends its A340s to Hong Kong, but keeps the same flight number, used for commercial flights. So it's impossible to know on FlightRadar24, whether it's a pax or cargo flight.

Ok it's KLM

Over the past few days, KLM has progressively filed a long-haul schedule operation, for the period from 29MAR20 to 12APR20. During this period, the airline plans to operate after service. These services are subject to travel restrictions and can only operate as a cargo flight [/ b]https://www.routesonline.com/news/38/ai ... t-28mar20/
