I am always wary of such deals, bringing a short-term profit for a long-term loss. See the Finance Tower of Brussels!

How come Easyjet offers only 5 destinations from BRU, but dozens (I didn't count them) from AMS ?

You better ask that of them rather than asking here. But at a wild guess, their answer could well be along the lines of "because that's where we can make money".

easyJet used to have more destinations out of Brussels. I guessed they were abandoned because there was more money to be made on other routes?

EZY has stopped to SXF and MXP mainly due to Ryanair arrival at Brussels.

Coronavirus – COVID 19 update

Some countries have now put additional restrictions in place, which may impact your travel. Please see the links below which will give you the latest information around entry requirements.

Flying to Jordan
easyJet’s flying programme between Italy and Jordan has been impacted by the Jordanian Government’s travel restrictions (which prevents non-Jordanian passengers who have visited Italy, China, South Korea and Iran in the last 14 days from entering Jordan). For latest travel information please check our flight tracker page and ensure that your contact details are up to date so that we can keep you informed.

Flying to Italy

We continue to operate to and from Italy, and are working closely with the World Health Organisation on the increased uncertainty that COVID-19 may be causing. However due to a slowing in demand to the region, we have made the decision to cancel some flights between the 13th March and 31st March 2020. Customers on cancelled flights have been contacted and moved onto alternative flights or offered a full refund. If your flight has been cancelled you can manage your booking by going to manage bookings or visiting the app.
If you’re not contacted then you should anticipate that your flight will operate as normal and standard terms and conditions continue to apply to all flights.

Arrival restrictions on flights from Italy to Israel

Following the Israeli Government’s travel restrictions, only Israeli nationals or residents in possession of an Israeli passport, Israeli Identity Cards or A/5 Residence permits will be allowed to travel on flights from Italy to Israel until further notice.

Customers without relevant Israeli documents will be stopped at the departure airport, therefore we ask you not to travel to the airport. If you are affected by these restrictions and wish to request a refund please contact our contact centre – details can be found here. If you didn’t book your flights directly with us then please contact the agency you booked your flights with to arrange this.

If you would like transfer your flight to a later date, we can offer you a rebooking onto flights departing from Wednesday the 1st of April 2020. You will not be charged a change fee, however if the new flight is more expensive, you will have to cover the difference in price. If you would like to transfer your flight, please contact our contact centre.

Israeli Government travel restrictions update

Following an Israeli Government travel restrictions update, easyJet has been advised that from 06:00 6th March, passengers who have visited Germany, France, Austria, Spain and Switzerland in the last 14 days and who are not Israeli citizens must prove they have a residential address and phone number where they can self-isolate for 14 days in order to be admitted to the country. Israeli citizens originating from these countries will also be required to self-isolate. As a result of this, we would advise passengers to ensure that they can meet these requirements in order to fly with us. easyJet’s flying programme to and from Israel remains unaffected.

As previously announced below, passengers originating from Italy who are not Israeli citizens won’t be allowed entry so we would ask only Israeli citizens to travel on these flights.

All affected passengers have been advised by email and SMS. Customers who are unable to travel have been given full details of their alternative options. easyJet complies with guidance from relevant authorities and whilst these circumstances are outside of our control, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The new restrictions will affect the following easyJet routes to and from Israel:

Basel, Berlin Schoenefeld and Tegel, Bordeaux, Geneva, Lyon, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Toulouse

Czech Republic Government’s travel restrictions

Following the Czech Republic Government’s travel restrictions, which prevents certain Italian flights from operating to Prague from 5 March to 18 March, flights from Milan Malpensa and Venice to Prague have been cancelled. Flights from Prague to Milan Malpensa and Venice will continue to operate. easyJet has advised all affected passengers by email and SMS. Customers on cancelled flights have been given full details of their alternative options.

easyJet complies with guidance from relevant authorities and whilst these circumstances are outside of our control, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

The war continues between the founder and current management. EasyJet founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou is offering to dip into his pocket by offering a US$6.1 million “reward” for information that triggers the cancellation of a controversial $5.5 billion Airbus order. Any candidates?

easyJet is considering legal action against its founder Stelios Haji-Ioannou, who is accused of publishing allegations the company insists are outright lies.

EasyJet has been notified by the Haji-Ioannou family concert party, including easyGroup, that it no longer holds 30% or more of the issued share capital of the airline, and its relationship agreement has terminated.
