Wasn't Rackham leaving the fleet as first one?
Read somewhere that Rackham is to be repainted this year, on the ground for nearly 2 weeks (now a lot of spotters are scared to see it on the ground, belieiving that it is being repainted, while BRU isn't able to do so...)

SNB had a significant bird strike about two weeks ago, hence the long AOG.

Why would the Smurfs be gone? SNB is Rackham, not the Smurfs.
In any case, as far as I know, SN Maintenance & Engineering doesn’t have the capability to do a full repaint at BRU, so the paint scheme on SNB should still very much be the same.

No hangar at BRU is able to make a full repaint anyway...

As anticipated, SN has resumed its flights to IAD (SN515) since yesterday.

Former Governor of the National Bank of Belgium Jan Smets is to replace Etienne Davignon as Chairman of Brussels Airlines in May.

https://www.tijd.be/ondernemen/luchtvaa ... 12494.html

Simultaneously, Christina Foerster also takes up the co-chairmanship of the Belgian airlines, thus replacing Thorsten Dirks, in a move which keeps Mrs Foerster involved in the company she was CEO of, while following up on the decision by owner Lufthansa not to integrate Brussels Airlines into Eurowings, of which Thorsten Dirks was the CEO.

I am a bit puzzled, looking at several European destinations for the coming week, prices with SN are all around 300€, one way, which is strange as load factors must be low.
Booked a flight to VCE (I know!) with AE via MAD for 90€ where SN was asking 320. I then started checking several other destinations (TLS, CPH, LYS, ... ) and saw the same phenomenon.
It looks as if SN doesn’t want to sell tickets, very strange... worrying or just a simple bug in the booking engine?

Why would it be worse at SN than any other (European) airline?

I think he simply means that if your position wasn't already the strongest, the Corona story definitely will not help neither
