TK45 CPT-IST (A330-300 ref. TC-JNI) is currently diverting to Johannesburg due to the not retracted nose gear, after it burned some fuel for approx 90 minutes above the Atlantic Ocean.

D4-CCG, a B757 of Cabo Verde Airlines flying from Espargos (SID) to Washington (IAD) diverted to Santa Maria (SMA) in the Azores.

https://www.flightradar24.com/TCV692/23661489

Edit: The aircraft is again on its way to Washington, so it was probably a medical diversion.

Probably medical as the plane (F-HBXF) left BRU at 09h48. Emergency was declared at 08h18 ; plane landed around 08h37.

EJU7942 TFS - AMS will come to BRU.
Late departure in TFS, so they didn't get in before the AMS curfew.

And then? Bus to Amsterdam or night in Brussels before continuing in the air?

The easyJet aircraft is an A320 registered OE-IJG. I find it strange that it is diverting to BRU as this is not a U2 base.

Indeed bussed to AMS.
Probably because BRU is the best option in this case. Going to the UK doesn't help the pax much and other based are maybe also to far.

At lot of planned diversions and flight cancellations at ALC (Alicante).
TUI fly flight TB1101 ANR-ALC just departed to VLC - Valencia.
Alicante-Elche Airport will be closed from 1:00 p.m. today to 1:00 p.m. tomorrow due to the effects that the storm Gloria could have on the areas affected by the fire last week.
