OO-JAS / 737-7 is flying from and to Antwerp today. It might be the first time that a 737 of TUI operates from that airport.

Problems remains the same:
-extensive maintenance before ferry
-long complicated flight
-extensive maintenance and complicated ferry again repositioning to Brussels for modification next year.
If they would have known, from the beginning, the grounding was for a year they would probably have stored them somewhere more south though.
TUI Airways Engineering (Tech4Jets) does regular maintenance on their 4 stored at BRU. Last I heard they are kept in normal flying condition. There's a whole list of things they have to do on regular basis: power-ups of the computer, rotate wheels certain degree, engine runs, etc. Maintenance wise it's probably cheaper for them to store their MAX fleet at BRU since this is their MX base.
