OO-SNG was ferried LJU-OSR today. Repaint into the next owner’s cs? Is it known already?

Pretty sad that you don't publish such news, sometimes. Ok some people will tell me, that this poll is biased, because Air Portuagl often cited as an example, on this forum, is far behind. :mrgreen:

According to Senegalese netizens, the Belgian company is the one that offers the best services, far ahead of Air France-KLM and the national company of Senegal.

A Senegalese site, "Au-Senegal.com", solicited users for three weeks to know their opinion on air carriers serving their country. With 29% of the positive votes, Brussels Airlines (SN) is well ahead of the most "popular" companies. The Air France-KLM group comes in second place with 15%, then Air Senegal, Iberia and Emirates, each with about 4%.

On the side of the carriers considered as "to avoid", one finds TAP Air Portugal (appreciated for its tariffs, but pointed for its delays and the little consideration towards the passengers), Royal Air Maroc and Air Algeria.

SN and Air France receive top marks for reception, ticket booking, on-board services and baggage and litigation management. "Air France, in return, is considered expensive," details the Belgian specialist website Pagtour.

Speaking about experience...AF experience vs KL experience vs SN experience ! ...What argument would you give me after 3 successive cancellations of flights on YYZ. SN even managed to cancel the replacement flight. Tell me about the last two weeks a single long haul flight departed on time? One only. SN is unable to manage the long-haul fleet ... European flights are globally ok ... globally! They do what they can, I think so and they can not do it. They can't !

OO-SFU, would-be SN371 of today, is grounded and according to FR24 will not fly tomorrow Wednesday.

Eight (8) long haul SN flights planned for tomorrow.
So far none is cancelled according to BRU web site. All is good, sleep well.

It's something I don't get either.
The younger aircraft have trent700 engines. SN had a good dry run with OO-SFX, which showed that the Trent700 is actually better in hot and sandy conditions than the CF6 engines that were installed on OO-SFM/N/O . It's not the engines.

But is it something specific? I mean, this can be a lot of things or even worse a combination of a lot of these things: technical problems on aircraft, crew scheduling issues, ATC restrictions, bad maintenance planning, too few aircraft to cover the schedule, ...

For sure an escalation on this is needed and root cause should be fixed as soon as possible.

Brussels, 11th December 2019 – As of January 1st 2020, the Belgian Dieter Vranckx will become the new CEO of Brussels Airlines and herewith report to the SN Airholding Board of Directors. Next to his responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer, Dieter Vranckx will hold the position of Chief Commercial Officer at Brussels Airlines. He herewith takes over the responsibilities of Christina Foerster, who has joined the company in 2016 as CCO and has been leading the airline since April 2018. Mrs. Foerster will as of 1 January 2020 join the Lufthansa Group Executive Board, heading the “Customer & Corporate Responsibility” of the Group.

Yes the new engines are not in question and pilots love the RR, no more weight restricted with though balance between Pax and Cargo.

Maybe the reason for what we have seen lately, and especially in the summer, is in the old big philosophical question :
If a tree falls in the forest while there is nobody around, does that make noise ?

I mean, maybe there were also frequent problems in the far past but if you have a little bit more slack you can swap birds and bring on line a replacement.
Anyone with numbers of old fleets vs schedules?
Currently a single tech can create havoc and everybody talks about it but with one spare the tree falls without making noise...

One good news though :
OO-SFX that was in AMM since end of October for cabin fit is planned to run SN465 BRU-KLG tomorrow 12DEC.
Fingers crossed. If you fly to KGL tomorrow, check your gate to be a T one....

From my point of view, he has work. Degree of confidence in the company: close to absolute zero for the moment. But to be positive this appointment, without knowing the person, is a step in the right direction ...

Hi,

Just left Amman and I confirm I had a visual with a SN A330 at the end of the runway ( just next to An Alitalia A330,Atlas Global A321, Gulf A320 ).

Again postponed.
According to Flightstats.com and FR24, OO-SFX is now to operate SN223 to BJL on Sunday 15DEC.

Difficult to understand these last minute delays in Amman.
Sounds like a "Err boss, I thought I'd be finished today but I need a couple of hours extra". I seem to remember it had happened before in October.

Now when a flight that was supposed to be operated by a newly returned aircraft has to be performed by another one, what was this other one supposed to be used at? Another service which then could lead to cancellation, or deferred maintenance?

OO-SFH is already in AMM, flew there straight from HKG end of November.
Don't know though if only for Mx or cabin refit.

Beeline increases in Summer 2020 Brussels - Manchester route, with a 4th daily flight on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from 19 to 23 weekly flights in total.

SFX is finished since last week, it’s paperwork stuff that’s holding back the release.
SFH is indeed in Amman to get its new cabin.
It could/should go somewhat smoother indeed... :?
