On 21 August, a Cessna private jet (registration currently unknown) aborted take-off at Oroville Airport, California, United States and went off the runway into dry grass while bursting into flames. Two pilots and eight passengers – with minor injuries only – were able to safely evacuate the aircraft.

Never ceases to bewilder me how certain countries seem to be inviting disasters like this by allowing housing so nearby, and on the runway axis. Quite common in Africa, but Californians are good at it, too. Accidents waiting to happen, sadly.
