It's better than canceled! And maybe there is only cargo ... sarcasm!

OO-SFG seems to come back to BRU today ...

It is already planned to fly to Accra today but that seems a bit optimistic to me ...

See: https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/oo-sfg

Which bird will be next to get the new interior?

Cheers
Danny

Indeed also flightstats.com mentions OO-SFG for the SN277 service to Accra today.

Departure delayed by 3 hours to 13:30.

H.A.

And further delayed.
ETD now 15h15.

At least the flight is not canceled but at 19:15 the plane is still in Brussels ... probably with only cargo !

Just left 2 minutes after your post.

SN277 airborne !.png

Seems they will short cut ACC and go straight to LFW, stopping at ACC for crew change before heading back to BRU.

What happens when, once in a while, an SN flight to AFI got delayed "a bit"?
Normally parked at a T Gate. But BRU cannot keep so many gates behind the "T border" for so many hours. What if a Pax arrives after the border has been opened and boards the delayed flight?

I noted that SN277 today, and I seem to remember a previous one as well, was parked at the B Pier. B34 today for SN277.
Is that intentional to avoid the problem of T gates being blocked?
That would be a tell-tale sign for the seasoned traveler. Flight leaves from B Pier = delay.

What could have been the reason for the delay today? Tech? Documents?
I guess the crew checked in this morning so comes a moment you run short of hours and need to call in a Stby.

Maybe some issue, related to maintenance, just done at Amman?

I'm at the airport...today TWO winners or THREE...NEW YORK Canceled, OUAGADOUGOU ABIDJAN Canceled. The good news is that there are still passengers who are trying to fly ...Why continue to sell seats in flying devices, it might be better to become an electric scooter operator or sell yogurt ...It became an industrial disaster.

You are faster than me. I was just having a look and indeed :

Announced on BRU web site and details from Flightstats.com :

SN255 OUA/ABJ STD 11:10
Changes
31AUG0649 : SFW > SFD
31AUG0651 : SFD > SFC
31AUG0838 : Cancelled

SN501 JFK STD 10:35
Changes
31AUG0649 : SFD > SFW
31AUG0837 : Cancelled

SN357 FIH STD11:15
31AUG0519 : SFX > SFF
31AUG0938 : 1115 > 1414

Another days in paradise.
But not for all those involved (Mx, Ops, Gnd, Out Stations, ...) trying to cope with this.

SN357 FIH STD11:15

Changes :
31AUG0519 : SFX > SFF
31AUG0938 : 1115 > 1414
31AUG1121 : SFF > SFC
31AUG1246 : 1400 > 1500

That now puts the delay at 3h45 min.

Note that early this morning, OO-SFC was to replace SFD on the OUA.ABJ run, only to find out 1.5h later that she couldn't make it and the flight had to be cancelled.
4 hours later, it is OO-SFC that comes to the rescue of SFF for the FIH service, though at the cost of an additional hour delay.

All is well that ends well. Actual departure time was 17h04. Departure delay 5h49.
ETA is now 23h42 (instead of 18h15), hence another "same day delivery".

My mistake today was to presume Accra instead of Douala. More seriously, do we know what causes this circus and when the clowns return to their lodge? I sense that the Germans will not be happy!

I always try to report good news when there is one.

Pleased to inform you of the resurrection of flight SN371.
It was announced as cancelled as from yesterday late evening, and mentioned as such on BRU web site this
morning.
OO-SFF, that was declared yesterday unfit to run today's YYZ service, felt better this afternoon and took of at 1646.
OK landing will be more than 5 hours late but hey, better late than never.

Now for those seeing the half empty glass, there is no mention of Douala here.
SN371 is BRU-DLA-NSI normally, but hey, same country and same day delivery.

Seems to have landed safely at 7:42pm local time, 14 minutes after take-off.
