Will OO-SFP be ex D-AIKG or AIKH? As I know, LH wanted to transfer both
UPD: sorry, didn’t read the post properly.

Hi,

I know an A333 stewardess of SN which will be based in DUS for winter season, so..... SN will operated those in behalf of EW/LH... Well that's thé white livery handy for on those new planes...
Why not the Star Alliance livery operated on all like those A343 of Lufthansa Cityline... ;)

The interview of Christina Foerster by De Tijd was mentioned in the "Brussels Airlines in 2019" thread. In that interview, she mentioned an interesting fact: painting an Airbus A320 costs 60,000 euros. Thus, OO-SNN, which came back from the paint shop with a Eurowings livery, will keep that livery until the paint needs to be renewed (some 5 years or more).

Painting an A330 should cost about double that amount. Thus the "new" A330s coming from Singapore and Cathay will have a white livery until the paint falls apart.

Christina Foerster had clearly indicated that there are other priorities than having a uniform livery. And in 5 years from now, when hopefully the financial situation of Brussels Airlines will have improved, the airline might think of standardising its livery with that of the other members of the Lufthansa Group.

I think it is just easier to exchange OO-SNN (give it to EW) for another A319/320.

You mean D-AEUD Eurowings Airbus A320-214, still in storage or even one of de A321's coming from Laudamotion. Good idea.

That can be either one of non-repainted from AB cs (D-ABHA or D-ABZI) or D-AEUH or even one of late CFM-engined A319 (D-AKNT-V). A321 currently doesn’t fit to SN strategy.

But if an aircraft is phased-in it undergoes modifications for SN ops like for example the EFB, sometimes seats , galley,...
If you switch with another aircraft you have to do the modifications again.

According to the news the cabin in OO-SNN wasn’t changed from AB/HG/OE.
By the way, which cabin does OO-SFB have?

Like Airbuske says, these modifications are more than just the cabin.

I remember having read that it has the old CX-cabin, but modified with a premium economy section (with old CX-seats) for the EW-flights.

Will OO-SFB return to the SN fleet?

I'm sorry if this has been covered before but I've gone through the thread to find the exact details and cannot seem to find what I'm looking for.

I'm trying to find out exactly how many seats each of the A330 has? From what I can gather:

C16W21Y255

OO-SFB A330-342 operating for Brussels Airlines in Eurowings cs

C30W28Y225 operating for Eurowings

OO-SFJ A330-343
OO-SFK A330-343
OO-SFL A330-343
OO-SFP A330-343

C30W21Y244

OO-SFD A330-342
OO-SFE A330-343

Does this leave OO-SFC, OO-SFF, OO-SFG and OO-SFX with the old configuration? Is that C30Y258 or C30Y254?
When they exited the fleet, did OO-SFM, OO-SFN, OO-SFO, OO-SFV and OO-SFW also have the above?

I presume also the A330-200s are C22Y240?

Many thanks!

I don't know if this is relevant for this topic, but...

The A330, MSN 229, with registration OO-SFY, has been operated by Brussels Airlines since 2011. The aircraft initially flew for Swiss.

AELS is looking forward receiving this aircraft at our facility after 21 year of reliable and safe service.

Dear OO-SFY we already miss you.
A lot.

OO-SFZ was planned to run SN515 to IAD today, STD 1015LT
According to Flightstats.com, at 0757 this morning, Zulu was replaced by Bravo with ETD 1200.
Actual time of departure 1241, two and a half hour late.

OO-SFB being "diverted" to IAD, she could not run her planned service to Dakar today, STD 1130.
According to Flightstats.com, at same 0757, Bravo was replaced by Whiskey with ETD 1530.
Actual time of departure 1555, four and a half hour late.

So I guess OO-SFZ must be at Hangar41. She's planned to fly tomorrow.

Dear Beloved Kaiser Spohr, methinks that to make SN profitable a couple of additional A330s are urgently necessary.
Wouldn't you have some idle somewhere or used for low-yield tourists flights that could be better used at SN? If your intention is to develop this lucrative AFI market that is.

I think we must wait another Quarter-result or two, when crisis will hit LH and even more Der Kaisers Liebling EW, to see the Kaiser jump with his Golden Parachute.
EW is like AirBerlin, doomed to disappear.
No way EW can compete Ryanair or Easyjet.

EW Longhaul, no Longhoaul.... no strategy

According to airfleets.net SN has 16 A330's in fleet: 4 x -200 and 12 x -300's. We know that 1 x -200 (SFY) is now gone from that list. That leaves 15 A330's if the list is close to being up to date.

Isn't that much more than SN is actually flying around? How many are in maintenance or flying elsewhere?
I assume SFW is the next one to leave? And then are they releasing the remaining 3 x -200's?

Eventually the fleet will be composed of 11 x A330-300, 4 of which with lesser performance (RR 772 vs 772B engines?). Are there more to come from either CX or SQ?
