You should widen your focus on Belgian commercial aviation, not only on Air Belgium ;-)

And TUI fly NL is using 2x 737-800 of TUI fly BE, OO-JAH and OO-JBG, from Eindhoven
Not to mention B767 OO-JNL that is based at AMS

TUI fly Belgium does two one-off flights from Antwerp to Leeds for the UCI 2019 Road World Championships (that's cycling, or so I've been told) in September. Timings as follows:

Code: Select all

Thursday 26 September: ANR 07:30 - 07:40 LBA
Sunday 29 September: LBA 20:15 - 22:25 ANR
Funny thing: the return flights (like LBA -> ANR on the 26th) are both sold out. Not sure if the plane will really come back empty or if they have something more creative in mind.

During the summer, TUI leases some aircraft :

5 A320 of SmartLynx :

ES-SAK, ES-SAM, ES-SAO, ES-SAQ & ES-SAV...

2 737-8 of AirExplore :

OM-GEX, OM-LEX

Also,

YR-CBK, 737-382 of Cobrex Trans used during 11 days.

Then LY-JMS, 737-522 of KlasJet, which landed at Lille this morning, and seems to be used for 2 or 3 days now.

TUI fly Belgium flight TB2031 from Brussels to Boa Vista (Boeing 737-800 reg. OO-JAQ) diverted to Tenerife South around 09:15LT ... to be refuelled. Wrong calculation? Unexpected headwinds?

I'm not an expert but given the "normal" flight time to TFS (4h05 - which might even be a little faster as usual), I don't think it's because of headwind. Very interested in this kind of more technical matters, if a pilot or insider is willing to give more information about it?

With too much headwind, sometimes the 737NG can't reach Boa Vista with full passenger load unfortunately. Passengers load is normally limited but as these routes were supposed to be flown by 737MAX, I presume flights are fully booked, which is not a problem for the Max, but it is now that the NG has to fly these routes.

Fuel stops happened a few times already the last weeks.

Hi

Anyone can tell me, if the TUI Fly Belgium Montpellier-Casablanca works well ? I have just seen, that flights will end on 7Nov19, instead of 26 Oct 19. I guess it's due to All Saints Holidays. Flights on 7nov19 are already full. However it looks that the route will be operated year around (Mondays and Thrusdays are in bold), but bookings are closed. Someone can confirm ?

They were planned to replace Rynair, on CRL-Montpellier, but they closed bookings, few weeks, before the 1st flight. Ryanair left Montpellier in March 2019, and they now operate flights, from Béziers (70km, from Montpellier). CRL is served from Nimes (45km) and thus Béziers, by Ryanair.

You can read the interview of the TuiFly Belgium spokesperson by the Montpellier Airport, only in French. The article is too big to be translated, directly from the link. You can only translate, by putting parts of text https://www.montpellier.aeroport.fr/act ... ntpellier/

Via Facebook "Aérochti", based at Lille :

Many problems from LIL, but a 737-4K5 of Air Mediterranean arrived yesterday evening (SX-MAI) at CRL...

Still for TUI fly Belgium...

SmartLynx based its 6th A320 for TUI, in Belgium. ES-SAT arrived from MEX-YMX-KEF yesterday evening, all white. It is currently flying as TB1111 from BRU to ALC...

Small correction: ES-SAQ has returned to Tallinn on 15/JUL,
so at this moment, SmartLynx operates 5x A320 out of Belgium on a daily basis on behalf of TUI Airlines Belgium.
Average age (as of 01/JUL/2019) of these 5 aircraft: 18,34 years. (!)
