Hi,
So far thé no politics on this website
Thé right wing is very well included here it seems..
Well I love aviation but an airport at thé fence of BRU don't make sense to me...
A taxpayer bill for the rich ...
Close it and improve LGG and CRL instead...
Ouch that hurt thé flemish right party haha..
Welk we are belgians after all...
So far my concerns about ANR and green bashing haha
Well I hope at least another voice is allowed haha
Grtz,
CXB

The tax is a contribution tax that every company (as from 51m²) in the city of Antwerp (including the disctricts) has to pay. The amount is 200 € for 51m²-150m². Above 150m², it's 200 € basic fee plus a fee per m².

I don't know why Egis disputes the tax. Maybe they say that the Flemish Region is the entrepreneur who has to pay the big bill, with Egis just a lessor of a few offices and hangars?

La Nova (Switzerland) is no longer announcing a date to start operations after multiple delays and the loss of its CFO, Ludovic Rosse.koninckske wrote: ↑21 Jul 2018, 09:21 Subject to approval new route to Geneva starting 4 February 2019 with new business airline La Nova. Flights from Marseille via GVA will be available too. Bookings from 1 September 2018. Probably with ATR 72 with only 36 seats.

According to well-informed sources, Flybe would stop flying from Southend to Antwerp on 31 August, two months earlier than initially planned.sn26567 wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 12:37But simultaneously, from 25 October 2019, Flybe/Stobart will be dropping its daily London Southend (SEN) to Antwerp (ANR) route.TLspotting wrote: ↑19 May 2019, 22:40 Air Antwerp to fly as from Autumn if everything goes well : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=66236&p=382523#p382523
From September, there should no longer be flights from Antwerp to the London area.

Correct André, the London Southend-Antwerp route will cease from 1 September. Passengers have been notified and offered a full refund or transfer onto an alternative service.sn26567 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2019, 22:30According to well-informed sources, Flybe would stop flying from Southend to Antwerp on 31 August, two months earlier than initially planned.sn26567 wrote: ↑20 May 2019, 12:37But simultaneously, from 25 October 2019, Flybe/Stobart will be dropping its daily London Southend (SEN) to Antwerp (ANR) route.TLspotting wrote: ↑19 May 2019, 22:40 Air Antwerp to fly as from Autumn if everything goes well : viewtopic.php?f=7&t=66236&p=382523#p382523

And where indeed is Air Antwerp? Shouldn't tickets be on sale by now, for a successful startup? Are they?

Hm, no surprise. Of which startup Belgian Airline does that remind me ?
Re: 2019 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
It is rather surprising considering that KLM and City Jet are involved.
Both carriers are experienced and certainly know all requirements ...
Maybe the Belgian authorities are a "bit slow".
Just thinking - I´m not blaming them since we don´t know how limted their staff resources in the relevant department(s) are.

I think 3 months is the minimum they need to reply to an AOC request. Was reading somewhere they were hoping to get their AOC in August and start selling tickets soon afterwards. August would be about 3 months after they announced their plans...
Btw June is finally showing rising passenger number again at EBAW.

Do you have Antwerp (and Ostend and Charleroi) airport figures ? If the figures are not very positive, some airports tend to refuse to publish them.koninckske wrote: ↑02 Jul 2019, 19:38

What’s the reason for Flybe to stop doing this route??
Was the loadfactor that really bad?

Re: 2019 Antwerp Airport (ANR/EBAW) latest news
Insufficient profitability. Flybe is reorganising its whole network and has already cancelled a lot of low volume routes.
