According to Flightstats.com, OO-SFZ was planned for SN515 yesterday.
At 07:21LT, a change of equipment is recorded and Zulu is replaced by OO-SFL. Simultaneously a delay in departure time is applied.

Maybe this change driven by a technical issue didn't reach the level of administrative check?
Applying a sticker on the nose gear door "valid for..." may not be 100% fool proof (UA flight SFO to HNL that didn't have the ETOPS sticker...).

Edit : mixed up between replaced and replacement.
Note to self : regardless of outside temperature, do no start with rosé wine before 9h in the morning.

Inbound: FL410
ATD 11:14L ATA 21:14L after 10 hours in the air (longer than the flight to IAD)!

Hence, no technical problem. Then what, Brussels Airlines? On Twitter, Brussels Airlines says "operational reason", the classical excuse that means nothing...

The fact that it has a Eurowings livery means that Eurowings is involved, "volens nolens". Anyway, as I just received more accurate information, the text has been modified.

Come on, Poiu, that's bad faith. Tintin is not an airline, Eurowings is one: its name appears on the fuselage and people could wonder what has been going on with that Eurowings aircraft.

Andre, don’t continue to defend the indefensible, OO-SFL is an aircraft which is on SN’s AOC and it was operating a Brussels Airlines flight. They livery is totally irrelevant.
The original complaint on Flyer talk is from someone inquiring about United as they were holding a United ticket. If the flight would have had an EW codeshare your remark would have been justified, now however it makes you lose credibility as you are blaming/bashing EW, LH and CS on every possible and impossible opportunity.

I did have the impression I had read a post here (I don't remember on which thread) stating that the US was now limiting sub-contracting (and/or codesharing?) flights to the US, even for companies belonging to a same group. That might be the cause of the "administrative problem" as OO-SFL, a former LH aircraft, is listed (in the unofficial LH group table) as leased to EW, contrary to OO-SFB which is in EW livery as well but is not listed as being leased to EW and is now flying apparently exclusively for SN.

I think especially at EW / SN or LH 'we could have predicted the problem ... but the management being so risky

TUI B737-700 (OO-JAL), just landed at BRU with fire trucks in trail. It seemed like a (partial) flaps-up landing.

On June 22, a Brussels Airlines flight from Brussels to Washington, DC, turned around mid-air and went back to its starting point, meaning that passengers spent a total of nine hours in the air to essentially go nowhere.
According to Belgian website Aviation24, flight SN515 was beset with challenges from the beginning.
Originally, the flight was supposed to depart at 10:15 a.m. local time from Brussels. But due to a last-minute change of aircraft, it left two hours late.

1,400 suitcases left behind at Brussels Airport due to insufficient capacity of baggage belt.

And it's not the first time!!!
A few months ago it happened to family of mine... the same SN belt. Their bags only arrived 2 days later at their destination. So they had to buy a lot of stuff there. SN's response was "No compensation because it's not our fault". And that was it.
Of course it's not SN's fault, but Brussels Airport's. Bagagebelts aren't supposed to break down every two months.
So, in the end, as a passenger you pay for the lack of maintenance / lack of timely replacement investment of Brussels Airport... But look at our shopping malls, office buildings and happy shareholders!

But not twice in a couple of months... when I search the news the previous time it went wrong was last year in bagage reclaim...

This happens also with us but with Aeroflot but they paid us 300$ for 6 bags with one day delay....

I'm not too keen on Schiphol either. As I've mentioned before here, I once saw a baggage handler at AMS throw Luggage from a plane onto the tarmac because the baggage cart hadn't arrived yet and he obviously was in no mood to wait.
