New Poland Central Airport first plan has been released, to replace Okecie around 2027, including 2 runways, with 45M pax capacity, and finally 4 and 100M PAX, maybe around 2033.

- Pilots and flight attendants at Avianca Brasil have called an indefinite strike from 18:00 local time (21:00 UTC) at São Paulo–Congonhas Airport and Santos Dumont Airport over delayed salary payments.

- 2 hours of VTC strike at NCE, blocking T2.
- 80th birthday celebrations of BHX begin.
- Finnair celebrated 50th birthday of flights from HEL to JFK.
- Air France launched yesterday direct flights from Tokyo Narita to Toulouse.
- Hainan Airlines launched today first flight between Beijing Capital and Oslo Gardermoen.

Air New Zealand
This morning Air New Zealand announced that it was replacing 8 of its Boeing 777-200s with Boeing 787-10s. These will have GE engines where as ANZs existing 787s have Rolls Royce engines. They also have taken Options on 12 more Dreamliner's.

At Hong Kong Intl Airport (VHHH), a service vehicle caught fire next to Gate D213 where a Hong Kong Airlines Airbus A330 was parking. The fire was quickly put out by airport fire service crews. No one was hurt.

At 07h30 this morning, a 35 year old American man in possession of a firearm has been arrested at a security check at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. He will appear in court in Wednesday - no details are given why he had a firearm in his hand luggage.
