The only good reason is that they were maybe not really in touch with what was happening.

Next to the lack of (wrong) communication, I don't think Aeroflot has contingency and emergency plans to cope with a crash or accident.

Maxim Moiseyev, steward of 22yo refused to leave the plane until everyone was out, but he died, and is the only crew who has died.

Tatyana Kasatkina, hostess of 34yo told she forced to open an emergency exit by a kick, even before flames were inside the cabin.

A criminal case was opened under Part 3 of Article 263 of Russia’s Criminal Code (violation of the rules of air traffic safety and operation of aircraft entailing the negligent death of two or more people). The investigators are pursuing several lines of inquiry, including the pilots’ insufficient competence, equipment failure and bad weather.
