Everybody knows that SN is now a part of Eurowings Group and not LH group.
Sn part of EW ?
Yes, indeed!
You probably missed something: https://www.aviation24.be/airlines/luft ... ines-2019/
But it still remains awkward, EW is part of the LH group, the brand of Brussels Airlines with all the employees etc based in Brussels is not ever mentioned, they could at least make an effort? We are talking about more than 3000 employees who would be interested in how their hard work is represented in the numbers...

Indeed however the business model (of sn vs ew) is not the same (that was my point) and it's recognised as such.

It seems to be a major setback for the A339 this order... And a big win for the B789 instead ! Maybe I was not entirely expecting this :-)

Nobody knows. Lufthansa Group says that the allocation of the new aircraft among its airlines will be decided later. As well as the seat configuration (although I fear a 9-across seating in the Economy class of the 787).
The rendering in the article says it all…
Indeed... we only see LH, LX and OS. For LH, Brussels Airlines doesn't even exist. It's dead waste, to be cleaned up and replaced by lousy lowcost EW.
LH has repeatedly stated that new aircraft have to be justified by profits of a subsidiary, thus no surprise. Or as an other German CEO would say: ‘EBIT macht frei’ :?

Not that I agree with that logic, it should be about potential ROI, not current results.

Lufthansa plans to buy a triple-digit number of either B737 MAX (really?) or A320neo to replace its early A319s and CRJs. A decision is due in 2020.

Meanwhile, the airline received its third B777F (D-ALFG, msn 66090)

Not surprisingly, some of those birds are 30 years old !

about the 737Max: if they can get them at a huge discount and all the problems are dealt with, there is no problem for LH ;)

The A319's are between 23 and 7 years old, the CRJ's of LH Cityline are between 13 and 2 years old…..

Lufthansa says constraints at its Frankfurt hub were behind its recent order for 40 A350s and B787s.

LH will sent the first batch to the Brussels base of EW ! For once, Brussels would get brand new aircraft ! One would wonder why !
(please, forgive the irony).

I'm sorry, typo, of course I meant 20 and not 30 ;) Altough there are some A320's that are almost 30 years tough

MAS - Munich Aviation Spotter / Facebook

50 years ago, Lufthansa started the first service to Osaka-Kansai. On Sunday they shifted the flight from its Frankfurt base to the Munich one. Today both occasion were celebrated in Munich with a special gate event as well as a water salute for the A350-900 D-AIXI performing today's flight LH742 - 03APR2019

Brussels would be interesting as they are always with CRJ-900, A319, A320, A320neo and A321 there...

Lufthansa's Italian subsidiary Air Dolomiti becomes a member of IATA. We often can see Air Dolomiti's E190s at Brussels Airport, operating Lufthansa flights to/from Munich.

In other news, Lufthansa Group launches LSG Sky Chefs sale: Lufthansa Group has formally opened the bidding process for its catering arm LSG Sky Chefs, Reuters has reported.

Lufthansa acquisition talks with Thomas Cook Group are limited to Condor. Lufthansa is not the only interested party.
