IF it be true that they are striking while negotiations are going along (as I read in certain media) THEN they are really going a bridge too far. @André, I must allow it is difficult to not become cynical facing this unfortunate story.

Of course, the term "negociations" might have different meanings according to parties involved !

It appears that Charleroi will be hardest hit, with all the Ryanair departures!

A few days ago they went on strike by calling sick for the same shift: no salary loss.

Why do you think that they now strike per two hours blocks? For the passengers? Please... It’s because their employer has to pay them when the strike is not longer than two hours!

Those guys have invented the strike FOR FREE!
They will be paid 100% of their day, do nothing during two hours and disturb thousands of people’s plans!

Amazing and probably unique in the world

Big impact at Brussels South Charleroi Airport with 16 delayed flights, 40 delayed cargo flights at Liège Airport.

I suggest that next time they plan a 2-hour strike (no salary loss) between 0200 and 0400 at Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport: no damage to the economy, no inconvenience to passengers.

On Thursday afternoon, the trade unions will meet with management to discuss a zillionth salary increase (which will then be presented as "a safety improvement").
